The only insecurity here is the "physicist" who is trying to stir controversy in the scientific community with this article. It's the equivalent of a lifted up truck with a pair of truck nuts on the back.

And he's asian, so it makes perfect sense that he's overcompensating for something.

Yeah, I haven't gotten that at all so far. I'm sure it will get there though.

Simple statistics can show that.

What gets better odds?

That the entire universe, and all of the life that exists (or has existed), is the result of completely random chance?

OR

That the entire universe, and all of the life that exists (or has existed), is the result of the actions of an external actor (God)?

There's your problem, mate.

All science points to the existence of God. Man wants to be God so bad that he will go out of his way to try to disprove the obvious.

Where I part company is the premise that this intelligence is a middle eastern monotheistic deity.

That's perfectly reasonable I suppose. But are you saying there's no chance the this Universal Intelligence" (i.e. God) is a "middle eastern monotheistic deity"? Or do you simply not know?

this doesn't sound like "God" to me

maybe you should debate him on the science, not his conclusion

If you are Christian. I can believe in a higher power and still think Christians are wrong.

I'm simply pointing out to the Catholics and Protestants that this doesn't mean you haven't been brain washed.

Because no where does this prove that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior.

The higher power could be a computer, could be an Alien, maybe Allah.

Do you know that there is a chance? I think we're making a logical point here. The idea here at the core of this theory doesn't come close to vindicating the man made notions of salvation and the afterlife that are at the core of every organized religion. I can buy this guy's theory, but that doesnt make me any closer to subscribing to any religion.

I just wish that this "scientist" would present some honesty to where the evidence leads instead of subscribing to the god of the gaps mentality.

I don't get how one can use theoretical concepts to reach "definitive" conclusions.

Yeah. It's definitive.

But if it really is proof of God, I don't think it's the kind you like, bubba.

It's just funny they all come running because of "God". All religions believe in some higher being. Because someone says God, doesn't mean the Christian teachings of said God are right.
