Your cake looks awesome! Wish I was talented like that.

Thanks.

My wife and I decided to try making an overly complicated cake when our oldest was younger and, even though it was a giant pain in the arse as we learned how to do it, it came out great. At that point, we were kind of stuck having to do them every year. We're actually thrilled when the oldest says he wants something else like an ice cream cake...'cause I'm not doing that.

I've got a Captain America cake on tap in about three weeks...

I love watching these fails because my SO makes that kind of ridiculously cute and creative crap all the time. I mean, it makes me sick how good she is at it. She made cupcakes that look like little scottie dogs once. We made a cake replica of Tiger Stadium (pre South end-zone expansion), ect

Nice attempt at bragging, but if it isn't up to date, it is a fail.

Nah, man...the cake is the best part! You have to add a bunch of extra stuff to the cake to make it more like pound cake so it can support the added weight. Don't remember off hand, but it's extra flour, sour cream, and extra egg I think. But the cake is by far the best part.

The fondant is not bad, but it's not like icing. It's essentially a marshmallow and powdered sugar mix which is melted and turns into a clay like consistency. When it's right, it works easy. When it isn't, it strains marriages!

Well, we made it a couple years ago. The pics were on TD at one point. One had my face on it and was used to make a pretty classic thread on the fark board.

Pretty sure the expansion plans were online at that time.

If you aren't willing to put in the time to study and be accurate, don't even bother.

Don't worry, well make a new one the next time LSU plays for a BCS title. I think the next stadium we're going to do is a cake Alex Box Stadium with a cookie cake field.

These are pretty funny, but in reality the failure in execution of these likely stem from not following instructions.

Like the Cookie Monster cupcakes -- definitely looks like they iced the cupcakes right after they came out of the oven which melted the icing. Hell, they're still in the pan.

Baking and stuff like that is tedious and time-consuming if you want to do it correctly. Most people don't have the patience or "give-a-frick" to do it right.

Yep, the amazing looking cakes/cupcake fad has been the death of decent tasting cakes.

Everything is way too frickin sweet and fondant is the devil.
