No. Like while people were tripping balls, wondering what the storm was doing and what route it was taking, I was watching. That's honestly the reason I still have it. It'll go out once or twice a year because the sun is too bright, but it ain't often a thunderstorm will knock it out.

My only concern is satellite going out every time it rains. I've never had satellite TV before so don't know how easily this happens. What says the OT?

Mine never went out unless it was really bad outside in which most times the power went out anyway.

This is probably the most likely thing to happen.

Mine has rarely gone out and one of the easiest companies to get things fixed. I have had it for going on 7 years.

I've been with them since 06 and loosing signal hasn't ever really been a problem, if you go with them make sure they send out an actual employee of DirecTV and not some contractor when its time to hook it up.

I've been happy with my DirecTV service. The deal is they give you a good price for the two year contract and then raise the price over time after the contract just like cable . I'm fixing to quit them and go back to Comcast for a couple of years.

The outages during bad weather are barely noticeable and don't last very long.

I don't have issues with it. Just don't get the AT&T internet if you like to play Xbox/PS/PC online.. unless you can get Fiber or whatever they call it.

I have AT&T Uverse internet now with the 24mbps plan and its been fine for online gaming and streaming movies. The wifi on AT&T's router sucks though (probably because too much interference on wifi channel) but I was able to fix it by connecting my own router to AT&T's modem and using different wifi channel than the AT&T equipment uses.

Take the deal. Its better than your other options. The rain fade isn't that bad and if its going out all tbebtime the dish isn't pointed correctly.

I had directv and liked it. Doesnt go out near as much as people see. Even if it does you can usually switch to a non-HD channel and get the show back.
