Flew Ryanair: London to Barcelona, London to Talin, London to Riga, London to Zagreb, London to Istanbul and London to Marrakech.
Never had a single problem. Don't be late, they board fast and take off. Also check for tariffs. Marrakech flight was $125 more than advertised because of tariffs.

I love it, it's very much like Southwest airlines here in the States. I took it to Amsterdam (well Eidenhoven); took it down to Trapani, Sicily; took it to Germany. The one thing you have to remember is that it flies into smaller airports.
FYI, they charge a lot for checked bags, so make sure you fly light if you can.

What the others have said:
1) Make sure you know which airport you're flying out of. A lot of Ryan Air flights leave from some out of the way places (Paris Beauvais is basically a barn about 60 miles away). Sometimes the savings still make it worth an extra bus fare, sometimes they don't.
2) Also, Ryanair is really best for light backpackers who can print things ahead of time (like I was when I was travelling through Europe). The hidden fees for not following rules can really kill.
Otherwise, I've had worse experiences with airlines in the US.
My favorite airline in Europe is Easyjet, though. It was a lifesaver throughout Europe.

When they say one carry on, they mean one carry on. My wife had to shove her purse inside another overnight bag to get on board. Annoying but cheap.
