The park is based in Baton Rouge. I've read a few great reviews on the trails, and I was wondering if anyone has run these trails.

The park is "based in" Baton Rouge? Does the park move around or something? Does it have satellite parks in other locations?

Just don't go blasting music in your headphones to where you don't hear the mountain bikers. There's also a chance your car might be broken in to.

Don't be a jackass, stay off the trails unless you're on a bike.

I hike there all winter and only saw like 3 bikers ever. It's hot as all hell now, buggy, and filled with ticks, but in the winter, it's amazing.

i've run it several times. don't use head phones. that's just stupid and rude to the mountain bikers. also, it's a "bike trail" so move outa their way. watch for snakes! i've had to jump over a few

I've only biked those trails but I imagine they'd be good for running. Like others said, just pay attention and yield to bikes.

I know it is a little far but check out the Kincaid Loop Trail. Probably my favorite trail to run in the state. Lots to see and it is a reasonable distance. Plenty of exits too if you can't do the whole loop.

Is that the park off blackwater & hooper?

If so its ok place.
A few years back some peoples cars were broken into. I haven't heard about any issues recently.

You might meet up with some snakes this time of year hanging by the brush in the side of the trail. They usually move on and don't stand their ground.

I seen a little gator when walking on a trail a few years ago. I jus gave the gator some space and it crawled back into the pond.
