A woman reportedly charged the cockpit on a United Airlines flight bound for New Orleans late Sunday night. But a Rummel High School assistant wrestling coach was there to help save the day.

According to ABC 13 in Houston, a woman seated near the back of the plane dashed toward the cockpit about halfway through the flight from Houston to New Orleans. She first made a scene by banging the walls of the plane and yelling.

Rummel assistant wrestling coach John Kent, who said he sprung out his seat to help thwart the potential attack.

"I'm trying to hold her face down to keep her from biting me (and) she kept screaming , 'It's over, it's over,'" he said in the report.

Kent deflected the praise he said he received from two flight attendants who were punched during the incident.

"They offered me everything imaginable, (and) said, 'You saved our lives.' I said 'I just want to get home. I don't care," Kent said.
