I need an area rug cleaned desperately. I would like for a service company to come out, bring my rug outside and clean it at my home professionally. I've heard of people getting this done before but I can't remember what company does it. I'm actually having trouble finding it on Google. Everything that I see shows that the companies come to you and do this inside your home but I can't find who brings the rug outside and cleans it in your driveway.

Who can the fine folks of the OT recommend?

You can rent a carpet shampooer at Lowe's for $28.00 and do it yourself, I did ours a few weeks ago.

Renting a rug "shampoo-er" is the worst possible way idea that you can do. Find a local professional carpet cleaner that will do rugs. Don't go with a Stanley Steamer or any other type of commercial business. Best of luck!

Not sure what is so hard to understand.

He is saying go with a local independently owned cleaner vs a franchise cleaner.

I've used zerorez and I've been very happy. Have them clean mine once a year. They always run specials and are about the same price as anyone else. I've just had better results.

The cleaners you rent from hardware stores are trash

So you'ed rather pay $250 to get the poop off the rug than get a Rug Doctor and do it yourself in 10 minutes for $30.

This is what is wrong with America, a bunch of lazy frickers
