I am looking at a total roof replacement as well as pitching a flat roof(carport/screened in porch)and tying it into the main roof. The flat roof is attached to the main house. Any recommendations for a reputable roofing contractors/companies to do this job. Already spoke with Alvin Ballard as well as V&V roofing.

Just make sure to tell them you want a "torch down" roof on the flat part. Make sure that they do it in a day and you want a written warranty. I used Sunrise roofing here in Baton Rouge and they are all American and did a great job. They also "HAND NAIL" instead of using nail guns. I didn't want anyone to hand nail because I know how they cut corners sometimes. I also did away with the ridgevent and added a third whirly bird for my attic. Good luck.

Avoid sunrise roofing in br- had to take him to court. Claims that calls to his were intercepted by a bogus contractor. I would have burned his shite down if I wasn't afraid of doing jail time

Let Victor and the gang at V&V do it and move on about your life not worrying about your roof.

There are good contractors in this area. There are real really bad contractors in this area. I can't speak for VandV but Ballard is good. VandV appears to do good work. Don't fall for the hand nail vs nail gun hype. If you don't have quality nailers is doesn't matter. Yes, get a contract in writing and check references. You can not always finish a roof in a day. Some take 2 or even 3 days. I'm assuming your job is not covered by insurance. Correct? Some companies won't deal with you if its not insurance related.

Use Anthony's Construction very quick & clean. Which Ever contractor you decide to use make sure they are state licensed & insured.
