Rodan & Fields // Women leaving full-time jobs

Someone fill me in.
I'm not seeing what these women are today. A growing number of women in my age range 25-35 are now R&F consultants. I figured after a couple of years this thing would die out but it's only getting worse.
The girls are LEAVING full-time careers as nurses, teachers, hospital administrators, QUITTING DENTAL SCHOOL..... all for this "dream job". I want to believe people aren't this stupid.

First of all, yes, people are that stupid. Second, some people will find any excuse to quit their job.

Girls want to work from home so they can be by their babies and have skin care product parties with their friends.
It's like the 21st century's Tupperware party

No, women just don't want to work. Period. They want to walk into Starbucks at 1030, still wearing their gym clothes so that everyone will know her husband places so much value on her physical appearance that he gladly pays all the bills and put that huge Louis Vuitton bag on her shoulder. It's every southern female's pinnacle of success.

I have to unfollow 10+ people every time I log in. There are no less than 100 girls in my community selling it. A very basic sense of economics would scream that this is not a sustainable model for income.

I have a neighbor that just started selling Primerica. I didn't even know that was still a thing people fell for.

More than one woman/girl has tried to get me to sell this stuff. My go to is to tell them that I already have a good friend who sells it, and I'm not interested in sales. Thanks, but I'll keep my trusty day job girls!

I didn't even know this was a pyramid scheme
They are also involved with proactiv

Holy shite couldn't have said this better myself.
Where does this unrealistic af idea even come from? Why do they want to essentially do nothing? What value in life is there in that? I would love to be able to provide that for my wife (I am not married, so whoever my wife may be)...but I dont think she could really appreciate what she has without working hard for it.
