Iron Eagle was one of the movies that made me fall in love with aviation as a kid.

You’re driving, let’s see what you got!!

I always thought he should have gotten more roles. He was always great in his roles.

Legendary scene.

For every Jaws 3D there was a Roots on his resume.

He did a really good job as the heavy in The Deep. Met his demise when a giant moray eel bit his whole bald head off.

Had completely forgotten about this, the chicken feet voodoo scene and Jacqueline Bisset

One of the best scenes ever. R. Lee Ermey was a technical advisor for the movie and helped Gossett with his role.

Did not know that. Hadn't seen Officer and a Gentleman in years but watching the clip you posted it's remarkably similar to the FMJ opening scene
Met Gunnery Sergeant Hartman at the Modern Day Marine trade show at Quantico. He was the talent, taking pictures and signing autographs. Very cool guy, didn't just take a pic but asked everyone about their service, their family, their future, etc.
Somewhere I have a pic of me doing the "choke yourself" and him yelling at me

He always reminds me of the movie firewalker with Chuck Norris.
