All the plastic surgery in the world does not matter, we all end up in the same place.

Nice statement.
When I die, I want my family to issue a statement that says: "He died like a lunatic. He was writhing all over the bed, screaming and lunging at his family members and cursing at them. He then told them to 'frick off' and then he died."

For a person her age, any medical procedure can carry these risks. One just hopes it was necessary and not elective; from what I've read, it was for her vocal cords, which is normally elective unless there is cancer.

None the less, a very sad ending to a very happy life that touched many with laughter. She's up on a list with Betty White in my book as long-timers. Maybe she'll do red carpet at Heaven's gate...

She was great on Howard Stern, every appearance, and most recently on his big birthday bash.

False. I'm guessing you haven't even listened to anything she's done recently. She was great on Louis just a couple years ago, for example.

It's not really elective when you make a living talking.

Is it bad that as soon as someone dies, I come to the OT for the "too soon" jokes?

My great-grandmother told a bunch of people on her deathbed that there was money buried under a tree. My uncle, who was in his 20s, and I went and dug around and didn't find shite. Trolled us hard.

even at 81, patients aren't supposed to quit breathing for no apparent reason. Although being 81 is as good a reason as any to stop breathing.
