I had one repaired at Acadiana Rim Repair last week. But that probably does you no good if you live in New Orleans.

Is the rim aluminum or steel? You could hammer steel back into shape. But if it's aluminum, you will need to let a shop do it.

I'm curious myself. Also I'd like to know if they can pretty much repair any crack or what the limitations are

The limitation is that if they can't get it back to true round there will be vibrations.

Rim Pros is the only place I know that can put the rims on a lathe if needed.
