Saturday afternoon Richland PD were in a chase with a suspect and the chase ended in a wreck. The unidentified driver, of a stolen vehicle, crashed into the vehicle of a family on McCluer Road. Our crew on the scene said two people have been arrested. We're told a Hinds County deputy also wrecked during the chase.

Police chase for rankin county ends up wrecking a hinds county police cruiser and a innocent family vehicle.

This is so stupid.

High speed chase for a stolen car?

Tear up a cruiser, tear up an innocent family's vehicle, tear up the stolen car, and risk everybody's life.

Or just never catch a criminal because they all know to always run. Cops can't chase me!

This board might not know that Richland is not in Hinds County.

This story doesn't surprise me.

The 2 small kids in the wreck looked to be about 4 and 6. Nothing wrong with the Rankin police car doing 80 on narrow streets in Jackson. The 2 girls were only shaken up.

If there was a no chase policy in police work, why would anyone ever stop?
