Guy and his son dumpster dives in Gamestop & other stores dumpsters, finds new products and used games and then goes to return or sell them back to them

There is a ton more videos on Youtube of people dumpster diving, but these nerds find a ton of awesome gaming stuff, computers, game systems, books, etc.

Long videos

Never tried it myself, but any of you guys here ever go dumpster diving and score anything awesome?

I remember when spending time with your dad meant throwing the ball around.

Only dumpster diving I ever did was for some wood drop offs at a Millworks shop. Used it for trim pieces and made some drawer pulls.

I was talking to this internet dating chick a year or two ago, and she seemed cool and all. Then, she told me she gets scrap food out of dumpsters to save money (even though her parents were loaded). Ended that with the quickness. She didn't even see a problem with eating out of the garbage

So, dig around in dumpsters for less than minimum wage?

Nah. I will snag shot off the side of the road though

When I lived in Austin at the end of every semester one of my friends would go dumpster diving around the U.T. campus.
He's found all kinds of electronics (lots of microwaves) furniture you name it he's probably found it.
All those kids spending daddies money don't care they just throw it away rather than pack it up..

And for every story like this there's a hundred that aren't told about someone getting dysentery or Tampico Trots from dumpster diving.

Risk/Reward?

I doubt that I've left anything at my curb that has stayed there long enough to make it to the trash pick-up.

I pushed a broken lawnmower to the curb, walked almost to my door, then realized I'd just put a brand new sparkplug in the mower. I turned around to go and retrieve the spark plug and saw that someone had already stopped and grabbed the mower.
