I've totally missed what he does for a living. I'm a veteran with security clearance so someone fill me in. Via email if needed.

He's a hired gun basically. Security for CIA sites, diplomats, etc. on foreign soil.
If you've seen 13 Hours(Benghazi), he's basically one of the guys that was running security for the CIA team

Having said that, if I got the call, I would probably go - but I'm still in uniform. You have to answer to yourself at the end of the day.

Agree. I did my deployments in my 20s. Got out before starting a family. I don't envy the guys who have to leave their kids behind.
