Have heard that dehydration causes much of it. Drink water. A lot. See if that helps. No first hand experience

Water can help some people, but I get pain regardless of how much water I take in; and I drink a LOT of water.

Unfortunately, RLS is genetic.

The Rx's seem to make things worse.. I have moved to this over the counter stuff and had great results from it.

You might have diabetic neuropathy. Lyrica is the primary FDA approved drug for that. Dont let the frickers give you anything else.

Also take heavy doses of vitamin D. Vitamin D helps protect the myelin sheath on nerves that is eroded by too much sugar causing short circuit like feelings in the legs. Many confuse it with restless leg syndrome.

Hurts a lot and its constant. Sleep becomes very difficult to impossible. I had this a few years ago. the Vitamin D cured me. (no shite.)

Whatever you do do not take lyrica or gabapentin long term. The withdrawal is the worse thing you will ever experience in your life. Trust me. And doctors are clueless when it comes to this medicine so they are liberal with prescribing it.

Try taking Taurine.

It's very affordable and a wonderful supplement.

I read an article yesterday that claimed drinking tonic water with quinine in it helps stop the twitching of RLS. Try it and let us know.
