It's a great way to let the public know they are being hindered by outside sources in actually doing their job. Enough negativity publicity can go a long way in changing policy and oversight.

Sounds just like when Atlanta PD previously announced that they will no longer respond to shoplifting or other nonviolent crime in Zone 2 (Buckhead). All the Karen’s weren’t thrilled.

(Sort of a variation of the old Aggie joke : The Aggie moved from Texas to Oklahoma and raised the IQ of both states. Only this would be something like the Illiterates stopped going to school and raised the test results of the Parish.)
