Well, the solution is obvious. Send Robert E. Lee to Atlanta, Jefferson Davis to Houston and P.G.T. Beauregard to Dallas. That way, those statues can scare the good folks back.

Yeah, sure. That's why they migrated to cities like Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta and Birmingham. All cities with numerous Confederate monuments. This guy seems like a real fricking idiot and real fricking piece of shite. I'm sorry y'all are having to deal with him

I'm starting to question my sainthood. Given the city they represent, the sorry state of the NFL, the goddamn never ending commercials and our gun-grabbing coach, I'm not sure I'll be tuning in this season.

Probably for the best, I spend too much time watching football anyway.

New Orleans had a chance after Katrina to maybe turn a corner

New Orleans is doomed by its demographics and has been for 60 years. When the majority of your electorate is uneducated and uninformed, they'll just keep voting whichever crooked politician tells them the biggest lie they want to hear that election cycle. I saw it first hand when I lived there and all we're seeing is the continuation of the death spiral.

Let that syphilitic whore of a city rot and die. Baton Rouge isn't far behind.

Those places don't want to honor the Lost Cause. That's why they are who they are and NOLA is who it is

Not one article, newscast, or peep from Dallas on fricking statues. This is strictly a NOLA thing.

So, therefore, your original post is completely false and retarded. Congrats.

Serious question, do you think they should also remove the Jackson statue? He was dead by the time of the Civil War

The St. Bernard Parish city of Chalmette is named after Ignace Martin de Lino de Chalmette,

Despite his impeccable pedigree and wealth, the battle fought on his plantation’s land may have ultimately cost Chalmette his very life. As the British approached, Chalmette and his family were forced to quickly abandon their mansion, leaving little time to move their belongings to safety. The family’s slaves hastened through Jackson’s military lines carrying whatever they could of the family’s treasures—only a small fraction, however, of the home’s grandiose furnishings.

You need to change your screen name Bigot. There's no room for racist bigot lovers of slave owners around here.

Will they be coming to Nashville to burn down The Hermitage? After all, preserving someone's home for historic purposes is the ultimate honor. Much more than a statue.

Tear down Monticello as well?
