Report:
STI's are transferred by fluid exchange, especially blood, shaving with a razor causes cuts, those who shave have 4 times as many partners.
Not more sex, more partners.
GROUND BREAKING STUDY:
This country has lost any semblance of common sense or basic intelligence.

Why on Earth would you shave?
I wax and although it isn't the most pleasant of experiences, it's much more effective and lasts longer between having to do it.
I'm actually checking into the procedure where it can be permanently removed by laser. Perfect for legs, underarms and the bikini area. And in the end, more cost effective as well.
Oh...and I've been waxing for years and have never in my life had an STI/STD. I've never even worried or suspected that I had one.

I'm 56 and haven't had sex with a woman with pubes in over 20 years. It's one of my must haves.

While I may like hot wax on my balls for a minute, I'd tend to disagree when it came to ripping it off.

so this is a study to tell us that people who have more sex on average are more likely to get STDs?

Based on the article, just go have 4x more sex. Then you can worry

While the study does not prove there is a link between shaving and STI, it does question whether small tears from shaving or waxing may make it easier for sexually transmitted infections to take hold.
But article, you just said this:

The high frequency and extreme groomers were also more likely to report a greater number of sexual partners and more frequent sex.

Yet, clearly there is not control for that aspect so they in no way proved this suggestion. This falls under the category of a studies that are almost completely worthless in terms of the scientific method.

You got it. article is tied for worst damn medical science ever with leeches.
Hold on just a cotton picking minute!
This article and the conclusions the OP is trying to promote are total BS
Leeches, maggots, and a variety of other small creatures however, are still used in medical practice today and there is plenty of medical science to back them.

People who regularly trim or remove their pubic hair may be more at risk for sexually transmitted infections, according to a new study published in the journal Sexually Transmitted Infections on Monday.
