When you bring stuff back from the dry cleaners do you take the plastic off when you hang it in the closet or leave it on until use?

Why would you leave it on?

I’ve got like 40 pounds of thin plastic at the bottom of my closet. When it reaches the bottom of my shirts I remove it.

Hang on. I'll ask the butler.

EDIT: Jeeves said, "Take the plastic off, poor."

Plastic?

Your dry cleaner doesn't use your monogrammed garment bag?

Remove it. Fabric breathes and dry cleaning odor leaves.

What about all my other drycleaning? Like my socks, boxers, gym shorts, etc?

leave it on. especially for the last cleaning of the short sleeve shirts before winter and long sleeves before summer. helps keep them cleaner sitting in the closet.

Remove it from its plastic bag and cheap hanger. Then hang it with a proper wood hanger and hang it in its garmet bag. Not fancy, just ocd and if I respect the suit, it will respect me.

Remove it from the bag and put it on a wood hanger. Bring the metal one s back to the cleaner.

I have very little clothing that requires dry cleaning, but when I do, I take the plastic off.

dry cleaning is done with a solvent and I want that to evaporate out of my clothing as soon as possible.
