For the last four or five nights we have suddenly had a ton of mosquitoes in our house, and they've been completely terrorizing us (I'm covered from head to toe in bites and am currently unable to sleep as a result of being so itchy).

Does anyone have suggestions on how to get rid of them inside a home? Most home remedies I've found online have been debunked by Snopes. Any idea on what could cause them to start showing up in droves out of nowhere?

You might get better answers from the Outdoor board.

First, douse the entire house in kerosene. They cannot stand the fumes. Step 2 is to light candles all over the house, start a big fire in the fireplace and turn on all of your burners on the stove. The heat that this generates will guarantee to have your house mosquito free in no time.

OT ballers keep the AC low enough so they die upon entry.

Cover yourself from head to toe in Off.
Walk around house naked.
Invite plenty of hot young chicks over.
Profit.

A friends wife had a few of these in the house that had mosquito larva hatching out of. Pest control guy figured it out for them.

Set off a few Bug Bombs

Then go find the source. Maybe the drains of a rarely used bathroom? Or the trays under potted plants. But there is a source.
