Relocating to New Orleans. Where to live?

I need the OT's recommendations. I don't want to break the bank, but I also don't want to get mugged on a daily basis.

What are some good places to consider? It doesn't have to be within the city itself.

How old are you? Single? Straight? Married? Kids?

How much do you want to spend?

House? Apartment? Condo? Roommates?

Do you want to live in suburbia? Where are you working? What kind of commute are you comfortable with?

Would you rather live more by night life? or quieter places?

Hollygrove. Famous home of Lil Wayne, good access to city, lots of friendly neighbors, lots of diversity and culcha, easy access to drugs
