Relief Thread for Moore, OK Tornado Victims

In case anyone wants to donate, the Oklahoma governor just tweeted that you can text "tornado" to 32333 to have a one-time $10 charge added to your bill. It will go to the OKC regional food bank. Also, dial 90999 text "Red Cross" does the same for the Red Cross.

They are great at actually getting the resources to people on the ground and minimizing administrative bull shite. LINK

American Red Cross OKC Chapter

Also:
People also can text FOOD to 32333 to give $10 to help with relief efforts.

Text GIVE OK to 80088 to donate $10 to the Tornado Relief Fund on GlobalGiving.

Donations will be accepted at the News 9 Studios located at 7401 N. Kelley Avenue in Oklahoma City. Items needed include water, gloves, boots, toiletries, power bars and Gatorade. Cash will also be accepted. News 9 will turn donated cash over to the Red Cross and target it to Oklahoma Relief. Checks must be written to Oklahoma Relief – Red Cross. This will ensure that the money stays in Oklahoma

Uhm, the United Way is an umbrella organization that provides fundraising for its partner organizations, one of which is the Red Cross. United Way does not itself provide direct services. I worked for years for a United Way organization, and without them we would have had to close our doors.

This really should not be broken down into the typical OT "mine is better than yours" peeing match.

Is there a way to donate online via credit card instead of texting?
