Absolutely. There is no way any waiter or waitress in Baton Rouge who works at Chimes East or TJ Ribs makes any money. Those places have been taken over.
I bet Coach O supporters don't tip.

There was a Houstons on Veterans near Clearview. That place was always packed for lunch and dinner. They closed up and I no idea why..maybe the rent went up? Houstons is good, there is something on the menu for everyone. Haven't been in years, but I remember it being a little "LOUD".
I thought that was odd as well... I found out the owners split and the owner who took over that location called it Le Boulevard.. It's basically Houston's menu with a different name..

It is one of the best-managed and successful eateries in the country.

I know it might be a dirty little secret of the restaurant industry, but black customers are notorious for (1) not spending money, (2) tipping very little, if at all and (3) being difficult customers (i.e. sending half eaten food back and demanding discounts, if not full refunds). Quite honestly, I don't think the restaurant owners are or should be really all that upset about such "boycotts". From a strictly business perspective they're shedding a lot of their "bad customers" (economically speaking).
Restaurant margins are tight. It's hard to stay open by primarily serving customers who don't spend much money and want discounts on what they do spend.
Call that "racist" all you want, but I bet many restaurant owners/waiters would agree

Blacks in general are terrible customers and tippers but this is Atlanta. This will probably hurt their business. The protest for tomorrow seems pretty organized and will probably have a large turnout.
