Now that this tourist route is done, what should we focus on next? Continue to seek funding to Press St.?

Personally I think we need to focus on getting rail service to MSY as soon as possible. Even if they broke ground tomorrow, it wouldn't be ready for when the new MSY opens in 2018, and the tricentennial.

Tulane Avenue is still under construction. But that should be wrapping up soon.

I agree we need rail to MSY from downtown.

Will never happen, but it would be nice for anyone who isn't subcontinental.

Install cameras and security guards on the route to catch the criminals that will inevitably rob, beat, and murder the tourists.

Yeahhhhh bullshite

And I like how they scarified that shite again last week and dug a big fricking 10x10 hole in the road and just filled it with shitty road base stone uncompacted.

I thought funding was there to Press?

What they want is streetcar service down to Poland so you can load up the cruise ship types and take them to the Quarter.

A stop at MSY would be included in the proposed NOLA-BR commuter train route which would have stops in te NOLA CBD, Zephyr Field, MSY, LaPlace, Gonzales, Blue Bayou, Baton Rouge hospitals, and Government Street.

In New Orleans, the CBD station would connect with the Loyola Streetcar Line. In Baton Rouge, the Downtown East station would connect with the Mid City Line going into downtown. That would connect with the Nicholson line running from the Capitol to LSU.

It's a pipe dream, but proposals are on the table.

They'll have rebuilt the fricking airport 3 or 4 times by the time that rail service happens

Interesting to see what this streetcar line will mean for North Rampart street as far as business in the area
