I carry a lunch bag cooler to work. It doubles as my purse.

Why wouldn't a nurse have a stethoscope?

I seriously thought nurses didn't carry them. How the hell am I supposed to tell the difference between a doctor and a nurse?

How else are we gonna listen to your lungs and heart?

The respiratory therapists carry them as well.

That grosses me out. I have a top of the line littman and they always reach for it. The ear nibs are way to personal to share....but I also carry a lunch bag for a purse so there's that. I might be a little off.

I always stash my stethoscope before all the docs start showing up at 6 am right before my shift is up.

Then go give them those horrible disposable ones we have for isolation rooms if they ask for one. Those things feel like they will puncture your eardrum when you try listening with them.

Pretty arbitrary in terms of a nurse having a soft grab n go for their work gear. Don't you think? What should they buy? A Tory?

Just not something I would think a man would notice.

Congrats for not being detached.

Still very popular out here in AZ

Still see them everywhere. Majority of the female nurses at my hospital have one. Their beach size tote one is a perfect size nursing bag.

I also have the crossbody wallet thing. Perfect size to throw on when I am running errands and don't want to bring a purse. Comes with a clip thing to put your keys on to clip to the wallet. Has a place in front to place your phone in.

I would think its about functionality. Easily washed and reuse.
