Well good thing I didn't apply yet for Sports Management yet. Funny I literally just talked to a buddy who has that degree and he told me to run like hell
I see so many people go get a graduate degree without thinking about a realistic long term plan. Give it some really serious thought. If you are young don't go to graduate school just because you don't want to get a job, you'll end up unhappy with mountains of debt.
That said, graduate school can open up lots of doors for you. I would advise going to school for a subject that has a high percentage of jobs where the degree is actually required.

Grad school was much easier for me, there was less ambiguity for test questions. I think it's just plain easier for the most part. No idea what Sports Management is in the first place though.

depending on what you wanna do, don't listen to these fricks. there are tons of people with great jobs inside collegiate athletic departments and professional organizations with masters in sport management. it's pretty damn hard to get those jobs, but if that's what you want, go for it.

I'm gonna be going for my masters in Sports Management soon. What was your experience with grad school? How different is it than undergrad? (Besides the obvious increase in difficulty of work).
Practically everyone is older and a professional, and most are able to leverage in-role experiences.
I went to grad school straight out of college -- I won't call it a mistake (I graduated), but I will say that I was disadvantaged because I essentially had no experience to utilize in the classroom. Didn't hurt me in terms of grades or anything, but it would've been a tremendous benefit.

Yea, a lot of them have that degree along with a law degree and/or MBA.

Going to conferences and hooking up with girls from other colleges is also a nice perk.

Undergrads think you are the greatest thing since sliced bread

Know a chick who got their Masters in Sports Management. They now manage the paperwork and mail coming in for a AA baseball team.
A real glorified receptionist.

You need to come around to the idea of Health Administration.

Healthcare Administration was actually one of the masters programs that caught my eye at my school. That, Business Management, and Sports Management were the three I noticed.

I found it was very easy to pass with a "B" average, and that to make high grades or "A's" was a lot of work...so yea "B" average for me.
