Question about teacher pay in EBR

My wife just got her first direct deposit slip for tissue year and it was for a good bit more money. Upon looking at the check closer it shows 80 hrs of work for two weeks. Her check all last year showed 72 hrs. She thought last year that she just didn't get paid for breaks. Does anyone know if it's supposed to be 80 or 72? We are wondering if she is owed backpay. We can ask HRC but if it's supposed to be 72 we aren't saying anything??

Do the right thing. If she was overpaid she should notify whoever does payroll.

My wife's latest deposit reflects 80 hours as well. Just looked at her stub for the first check of last school year, and it was also 80, then dropped to 72 hrs after that. I think it's normal. It might have to do with a workshop they had to do the day before school started.

Could also have to do with whether she is having pay deffered to the summer or not

Ebr Teachers work 182 days and get paid in 20 deposits. 18 deposits are for 9 days or 72 hours and 2 deposits are for 10 days or 80 hours. The first deposit of each semester is for 10 days or 80 hours.

Ah, there we go. Even my wife didn't know her own pay schedule

They don't get paid once a month? That stinks.

EBR teachers get paid every 2 weeks from the end of August until the middle of June. Teachers can have some of their pay held back to get in July and at the beginning of August.

Did she defer her payment through the whole year and now they switched it back to paying just during the school year?
