Say it does pass. What will realistically be different in the areas that would be "St. George"?

I mean, would there be visibile differences where you "can tell" you're leaving Baton Rouge and entering St. George?

When you go to Denham, you can tell you're leaving BR. Same with Ascension and even Central. Not knocking those areas at all. You can just tell you left BR proper.

I know things like the Fire dept and PD would be run through St. George but what else would it mean?

I guess what I'm really wondering is, with this Sterling announcement coming this week, how and what would be different if we already had St. George?

Sorry for sounding ridiculous.

Nothing super noticeable. Just a huge arse MAGA wall to keep the northerners out.

St George will have one of those high roller ferris wheels to let everyone know when they are getting closer to St George. And so people can ride it and see throughout both St George and Baton Rouge.

Some times it is hard to tell the difference when you cross from New Orleans to Metairie.

NO/Metairie is easy. When skinny jeans and flannel shirts stop, and FUBU tall tees and baggy cargo pants start, you've made it to Metry.

Scruffy heard that St. George will be a place where the beer flows like wine, where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.
