Question about selling a vehicle on eBay

Never have gone this route before and still not sure if I want to -- but the exposure is second to none and may give me my best opportunity to get the most amount of money for vehicle.
From a convenience standpoint, as a buyer - would you prefer arranging for your own shipping of vehicle or would you like this included in the price?
What other things should I be leery of if I choose to list with eBay?

Sell it on Craigslist. They won't take a % of the price.

I would only use eBay if it is a high-demand/rare vehicle to expand your base. Rare vehicle buyers are more likely to pay for transport. Otherwise, I would use the local/community approach of craigslist, FB marketplace or classified.

Always sketchy. I've had two people who "agreed with a handshake" back out of the deal when it came time, i.e. the very next day or two when it was time to get the deal done.
Plus, the number of e-mails wanting to buy it sight unseen and they'll pay me thousands more for it.

If I was buying, I would want to shop around and arrange it myself. Have more confidence in myself to find best price than any seller.

This is an option, however the things that I have sold on FB Marketplace, it always seems like the buyers are looking for something fairly cheap and a "bargain."
I might be subscribed to the wrong groups though.

I'll be honest, I haven't looked at eBay's fees for selling a vehicle. Let's say for example the vehicle sells for $20K, what kind of fees as I am looking at?

It is considered a classic vehicle. Over 40 years old - which is why I am considering eBay.

That's very reasonable in my opinion, based upon the potential exposure it could receive.

I sold a 1967 Plymouth Satellite Convertible on Ebay - guy showed up with a trailer to transport it and cash on hand.
If you don't have an unusual or collector car, Ebay is probably not the way to go.

I've done it a couple of times, bought and sold
If selling quality pictures are a must and the more the better, answer buyers questions and be 100% honest on the condition of the vehicle in your description
One thing I've done in the past is a "test" auction with a high reserve that I know won't be meet, this gives you an idea of market price going forward and allows you to set a buy it now price for the next time, also if the reserve is not meet you can relist for free.
Has for shipping the buyer will handle this on thier end
Just let them know you will work with the driver
