Does anyone know what time the Blue Angels will be flying?
It says gates open at 9 and show time is at 11. I'm assuming that is the Blue Angels?

I'm sure it will be similar to Belle Chase show. Blue Angels were last to perform. Think they started in afternoon.

No. The Blue Angels will almost certainly fly dead last. You're going to want to get there and have a good spot already before 11, though.
Barksdale is a no-joke base and its airshow attracts some fantastic flight demonstrations. The Blue Angels are going to be one of the least notable military demonstrations there, simply because they're relatively easy to see because of their schedule. The airshow's website says they're going to have a LOT of bombers flying, which makes sense because Barksdale's specialty is turning a small number of big non-radioactive things into a large number of small radioactive things. The chance to see a Bone, a B-52, and a B-2 in the air is WAY harder to come by than to see the Blue Angels. I think they're even going to be flying an ME-262 (unsure if it's the restored one with the original engines or a partial/full reproduction, though), according to their list of performers. That's the world's first operational jet fighter, and seeing that fly is RARE. Add in the static displays where you can walk right up to these planes (and, if there's a cargo plane, probably THROUGH one or two), and that's even more cool stuff to see. You're going to see some awesome planes flying and on static; if all you want to see is the Blue Angels' demo, you're doing it wrong.

Where do you park during this show?

I used to go every other year but haven't been in 3 or 4 years.
Have they flown a 22 yet or are they this weekend?
That's the one thing I've never seen there.

Just had a B-2 bomber fly over my office. Pretty badass.

Not listed on their website. I saw one in Belle Chasse a few years ago. That airplane doesn't fly. It tells physics to go frick itself.

Last time I went they weren't that late in the day, maybe 2 or so? We go every year, I'm not going to be able to be there from open to close so want to time my day right.

On the tarmac in front of the hangers. It is quite a walk unless you get there early. It draws 100,000 plus.

I just came back from the track making Kentucky Derby bets. I was on Texas by the pawn shops just north of the base and 4 bombers come cruising by low going into the base. one looked like a mirror.
Kind of like this...

Pretty sure Shuttles will be offered that usually drop you off closer than parking yourself. It'll be a great weather for air show. I'm going early, when it first opens so my Kids can check out the static displays. Then I'm getting the hell out before the afternoon crowds.

Barksdale is hell to get in or out of for airshows. I used to park to the north of the flight line away from the crowds. Took a legit 2 hours getting off.

AS stated the Blue Angels will be later, 1-2 ish. I got to see them yesterday during practice. They are certified badasses.
