Just saw a sizeable group of hipsters protesting the remembrance of D-Day. A couple of the signs saying we need to stop glorifying warfare. Wow.

Where? How embarrassing is it going to be for some of those young pussies to get their collective asses whipped by some 90 something year old men...

D day, flags, monuments, town square names...

when will these fricks realize there's a difference in remembrance and glorification?

Agreed, how can OP post some statement like that without providing details.

There are over 300 million people in the US and 7 billion worldwide.

There are going to be a couple fricksticks for and against any topic you can imagine. Just let it go.

Hey, I agree we tend to celebrate and improperly glorify war, but remembering death and sacrifice is a different matter.

To me, it's a mix of sorrow and gratitude. Sorrow that such needless death occurred, gratitude for the sacrifice and dedication that prevented more needless death.

I wish we had time machines for people like this. Send them back to the 1940's and drop em off in Berlin.
