Price per sq ft to add on versus new build?

Is there much of a difference? Wanting to knock down a wall, close in carport and turn it into a masterbath and add about the same and make it an open floor plan kitchen.
Would the price run about the same as in 115-150 sq ft? I know what's under roof (carport) won't cost as much but just looking for some info

The price per square foot is an average for the entire home. Kitchens and bathrooms are the most expensive rooms. I would think that price might be a bit higher. Some electricians and plumbers only do "new work."
