If climate change predictions come true it won’t be there and some other area will have to deal with the people there.

And pigs will be kept in cages so they can’t fly away.

He said 100 years from today. This is a picture of Bayou St. John from Saturday.

I’d be willing to wager I can accurately guess where those gentlemen purchased their footwear

With the rate of land loss in the marshes surrounding New Orleans and the fact that it is sinking I would suspect that New Orleans will looks like a fishing village after a few more storms take it out.

If you look really closely, you can see Krystal Burger next to the streetcar.

I can’t figure out why all the nice pictures have white people and all the shitty pictures (and places) have black people. Anyone ever did a correlation study?

Actually, I will go in another direction with my take. I think there will be some type of social change and then there will be a plan in place that will involve having to somehow rebuild New Orleans and it ends up becoming a vibrant city that will look nothing like the New Orleans we know today.

There are a bunch of black people in the 1920s photo.

It’s going to be either really bad or really good. It will not stay like this.

If we continue on this path of decline, it will be 2010’s Baltimore within 20 years and 1990’s Detroit within 30. But….Detroit right now is starting to see a resurgence. Baltimore hasn’t hit bottom yet and it won’t until DC stops being a black hole for talent and grads from Maryland.

Or maybe LSU and Tulane become top tier research universities and helps put the region in a good place to attract whatever business is booming in 100 years. And maybe that coincides with Texas finally being overcrowded and too expensive.
