I am not here to argue that black do not commit violent crimes at a much higher rate than whites. The data clearly shows that they do. I will add that the data also show that black violent crime rates have been on the decrease over the past few decades at a higher rate than white crime has decreased. I am also not here to argue that crimes by black criminals are not a huge problem. The rates are still astronomical and a problem that must be addressed. BTW, nonviolent crimes are roughly equal to white/black representation in the population.

I posted to dispel the myths in this thread and that have been posted ad nauseam in other threads. Myth 1. Blacks are charged with hate crimes less than whites. The data show otherwise, even proportionately. Myth 2. Black people are criminal and violent. The data show clearly that most black people are law abiding, tax paying, and the vast majority of black people are nonviolent.

And yes, blacks, relative to their 13% population are more likely than whites to commit violent crimes against whites than whites, relative to their population, violently offending blacks. Much of this is attributed to blacks committing more violent crimes (proportionally) than whites (see 1st paragraph). Blacks also commit more violent crimes (rate/proportionally) against their own race, much more than they do against whites.

In closing, this all started with the “hate crime” comment. To be clear again, I am not of the belief that violent interracial crimes are, by default, hate crimes. Sadly, ‘some’ here hold that belief to be true, especially when a black person violently attacks a white person. I am not even a fan of the whole “hate crime” law.

As a resident of Atlanta, it's hard for us white criminals. We need to unionize or something because we're pretty much pushed out of all the good crime.

It's a world wide phenomenon and it gets more interesting when you start looking at justified shootings. A black police officer who must use lethal force on a citizen, citizen is black 2/3 of the time. White police Officer uses Lethal force, citizen is white 2/3 of the time

It's indisputable over both the 30 year period and the last year of the study. Black people commit crimes against other races at a higher clip than other races though not by a great amount.

Bottom line is the hate crime laws are stupid because we don't have a reason to have them. Blacks kill blacks, whites kill whites.
