Most of you guys and gals on here back in 07 remember me asking for prayers for my mom. She had cervical Cancer that was in remission but came back and was terminal. Well now her mother, my grandmother needs your prayers. She has kidney disease and copd and now an irregular heartbeat and enlarged aorta. She is 88 years old. I am not stupid and realize she won't get any better but just asking for prayers if the end is soon.

Thanks

Thanks but we had to get her admitted to hospice. She went to the ER Friday before last and she has been confound to her bed other than to go to the bathroom. Main issue is nausea.

Sorry, losing a loved one is always shitty. I will say in my experience losing someone that is close to 90 is a lot easier since you know they have lived a full life. They are both very hard but losing someone younger has always been more difficult to me. Sending you and your grandma good thoughts!

Done, Weaver. I remember you most from what you went through with your Mom's illness years ago. My prayer is that your Grandmaw goes peacefully and is reunited with your Mom soon.

God Bless.

Thanks for all the prayers and kind words. There are some things grandsons shouldn't have to do for their grandmother and this is very upsetting. Brought back terrible memories of when my mom got sick and things I had to do for her.

It's hard, but look at it this way: It's an opportunity for you to make sure it's done right. She has someone who really cares about her, instead of some aide doing it for a paycheck. In future, you won't have to ask yourself if you did all you could. You'll know you did.

Prayers will be said for her Weaver. It isn't easy losing a loved one. I hope when her time comes it is peaceful and painless.

Thanks for all the continued prayers and thoughts. Things seemed to be going in the right direction Saturday morning and then later in the afternoon her nausea came back and we have been fighting that. I know we all have to die but just thought it wouldn't be so soon. Just a week ago from this past Thursday she was her usually self. I just have to make peace with God on this and let her know I love her.

An update for all of you. My grand mother was able to communicate with us as she was thirsty. We gave her some water and then her medicine and then some root beer. She seems to be more responsive. I have been talking to her regardless.
