I have a Toshiba satellite laptop and am trying to figure out where on here to go to rename the wireless router and set up a password... I have my phone connected to the router by pressing the wep connect button but everything I try to do it with my laptop it says an error occurred and had to restart my commuter... So I want to change the name and set up a password for it... Thanks

You need to go into the routers web interface and change the settings there.

How you do that? Where is it located on the laptop?

Type in 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.1.1 in your browser address line to reach the router configuration screen. You will need a password, probably admin/admin or the router ID printed on the router label to gain access.

go to a DOS window and type ipconfig/all hit Enter
The IP address of the Default Gateway should be your WiFi address.

Type that address in web browser, hit enter. Go to WiFi interface.

I guess technically nothing... I didn't see yours until now.. But I didn't have to go search for myself.. Layabout was the easiest and to the point..
