For the OT gearheads.

Next time you're flying into the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, keep an eye out for some great architecture with sports car racing around it. Porsche just spent $100 million, its largest investment ever outside of Germany, to open a new Experience Center and headquarters on the Northeast corner of the airport.

The 27-acre site is designed for both work and play, and it's a Porsche fan's dream. The high point for drivers is the 1.6-mile Driver Development Track. The course includes six distinct sections, like an off-road course to get muddy and the only Kick Plate in North America to practice hanging the car's tail out.

When not speeding around, visitors can check out the brand's classic cars on display and some art inspired by those machines. There's also a conference center and a place for fine dining called Restaurant 356. Porsche expects 30,000 people a year to check out the new site.

Clearly, Porsche Experience Center also is designed to be a revenue generator for the company. It has a racetrack on the property, a 1.6-mile road course that actually loops through the heart of the main building. Consumers can reserve time to test-drive any of Porsche’s six models. And for a fee ($300 to $750 a day, depending on the car), you can get professional driving instruction from one of the 40 instructors, and even test Cayenne and Macan SUVs on the steep, technical and muddy off-road course.

I work about a 1/2 from this facility. It's nowhere near like the pictures portrayed in these renditions yet, but it's going to be completely badass very soon.

Out of curiosity what does ones resume have to have on it to become a driving instructor?

He has been a kart racer and a amateur racer since he could walk. He is still in his early 20's. Oddly enough he almost got killed last year in a car accident on the Dragon last year while he was in the passenger seat. Broken femur and some internal damage. The guy who sold him his GT-R was driving it again and they went off the road down a gully.
