It's been a problem that has grown exponentially. I graduated from Salmen in 2000 and Slidell was nowhere near what it is today.

I was literally down the street in a bar/restaurant when it happened. Buddy of mine said the perp is a former Marine and went nuts, whatever that means.
I moved away after HS (the Katrina class) and haven't lived here in close to a decade but it seems like it's gone downhill a bit with the violence.

Has the name of cop been released? Really good friend of mine is on the force. Can't get ahold of him or his wife. Hopefully they are laid up being lazy this morn

Hey tunatiger, we may know each other. I'm 07. But I agree. After Katrina a lot of influx from New Orleans east came in and made Slidell worse. So glad I've gotten out and will never be moving back!

No BS. The body was across from the street from the Tavern next to the Olde Soda shop. The cops draped a jacket over the body.
