Plutonium 238

LINK
So I've been reading up on plutonium 238 and it's interesting stuff. This is the isotope that powers deep space probes and rovers in lieu of solar, certainly needed for deep space exploration. What is interesting is how very little of it is left on Earth since the US and Russia both stopped production of it, the US back in 1988.
It does look like they are toying with starting production back up ( LINK) but ramping up will be slow. The Juno probe which is approaching Jupiter uses solar instead of U 238 because there was none available to allot, even though only a tiny fraction on sunlight reaches the Jovian system than reaches the Earth.

We need to find a Niblonean planet and mine it for Dark Matter.

That's what they want you to think.

Mr. Fusion is much more efficient.

I like to read about Chernobyl and the elephants foot or whatever it's called. Interesting stuff

It's the Rabbit's Foot.
And last I heard Ethan Hunt had it.

As a process sure, but no way on a probe. Hell we can't even get more out than in for any sustainable time here on earth. One day though, have no doubt it's coming.
For the short term we need more u 238 plain and simple.

Eh. I make it in my basement. Use it to fertilize some Trimega trees out back. They are really producing this year.

Some dilithium coud power a space probe for years

Illudium P-36 is the new plutonium 238.

If JP Morgan hadn't sabotaged Tesla's work, we'd have tapped into the Universe's vacuum energy by now and wouldn't need any stinkin' plutonium.

You need to do some more reading I think.
You keep talking about plutonium-238, but when you use a chemical symbol, you write uranium-238, which also exists.
