Like I said, I did it and it worked. Got it out of an old school construction book. It's how they used to do drains prior to municipal sewer lines.

I seriously doubt it would ever come up with the Code being an issue. Inspector probably would never look/care and would have to dig the line up to figure where it is going anyway.

It is plumbed for one, but none of that is finished.

I like that idea. I don't really want to drain into the sewer drain for contamination reasons.

The water coming out of the thing is gonna be clean, filtered water anyway.

My buddy's dad has a big one outside. He ended up having to run PVC out the back of his yard because, during the summer, it is constantly draining
