Please thank him for his service
He sounds a lot like my Pops (grandpa)
WW2 vet, 93, his mind is very sharp but can longer long care for himself & is spending his first Christmas in a nursing home
It’s amazing to me the things that they’ve seen in their lifetimes, I love listening to stories of him growing up on a strawberry farm.
Merry Christmas to you & your family.

Sending him an LSU Christmas card!
I really hope this helps make the transition a little easier.
If anyone else has card requests for loved ones in nursing homes, away from home, or could just use a little extra joy, please post their address! The OT always delivers on this kind of thing.

I would change the title of your thread to please send Christmas cards to a World War II veteran. You will have a lot more views.

Sure thing buddy. Both of my Grandfathers served in the pacific theater of WW2. They both were some amazing men. I miss them dearly.

Yeah, I'll happily do this. I'll buy the card today.

I'm going into the office either this afternoon or tomorrow and, just to prove that all lawyers are not pricks, I will send your Dad an office Christmas card.
I know it's difficult to have an elderly parent. My Mom will turn 93 on December 19. She took care of my Dad from the time he suffered a debilitating stroke in December 1997 until he died in August 2003. She lived alone in their Florida home until she took a fall and broke a hip in March 2018. We moved her up to Virginia in September 2018 and she was doing very well until March of this year when she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The old girl has been in and out of the hospital ever since. Fortunately, she's back in the assisted living facility now. It's sad to watch and my prayer is that she goes to sleep and wakes up to the sight of the Face of God and my Dad.
I am certain that your Dad is very proud of you. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Thank you so much, and we know quite a few wonderful people who are attorneys. We really appreciate this, being in a nursing home sucks.
