Anyone familiar with the area and have suggestions on places to live in Addison? Looking for ~$1300 price range for 1b/1b, 1b+study/1.5b. Seems like most of the prime spots have terrible reviews and the locator I'm working with isn't super helpful. Moving in a month and no place to live yet

Why does it have to be Addison? You can get yourself a decent pad in Uptown Dallas for $1300/month.

Take your arse to Farmers Branch or Flowermound with that shite and then get on a wait list for the good places actually IN Addison.

Addison Circle would be ideal. I personally would have rathered live east of the Tollway in an older complex along Beltline, Arapaho, etc rather than the uppity treeless urbanscapes on the newer side(Addison circle area).

Will be working in Plano. Don't exactly wanna live in the burbs, but don't wanna commute from uptown either.

Have you checked out all the places in North Dallas near Spring Valley and Preston? They can't all be that bad.

Addison Circle or around the Shops at Willow Bend if you want to be in Plano

See, my locator only gave me choices west of the tollway. Addison circle and Vitruvian park looked pretty nice but heard there are a lot of entitled pricks and parties in these complexes and horrible management from the reviews. Should I trust these reviews? What experiences have you had in the area?

I lived in Addison Circle for awhile and loved it. They have some cool loft style apartments. There are always people at the pools in the summer and some nice bars/restaurants in the circle. I ended up meeting my wife in Addison Circle 10 years ago walking our dogs.

Just south of Addison across from the Galleria, a friend of mine found a place in "Elan City Center". It's a nice place for the money, and just a few minutes south of Addison, and about 10 minutes south of Plano. Great clubhouse and business center, too. I'm thinking she pays $1100/mo for a 1BR overlooking the pool.

It's near where I live in Dallas, and I think my location is second-to-none. I live in Dallas across 635, and next to Straight Lane.

(Uptown Dallas is too far if you're going to be working in Plano on the Tollway side, fwiw)

I lived here. Was brand new at time and looks to still be in great shape. I commuted to plano for work in 10 minutes but wasn't way out in the Burbs.

Addison Circle if you are looking for an all-in-one community that others here have described. Camden Addison is further north but doesn't have all the amenities of Addison Circle. It's just a nice complex.

East of the Tollway south of Plano Pkwy can be sketchy, especially as you move towards 635.

Take a look at the apartments around the Shops at Legacy. Technically not Addison but a very appealing place.

Try Las Colinas. Mandalay at The Lake or The Cabachon.

The last place we lived in Dallas was Mockingbird station. It was perfect. You're commuting opposite the masses. I drove 15 miles north to Parker. Never took more than 30 min unless something was jacked up.
If 75 was a cluster frick I would use Ave K to Greenville.
my old commute.

Addison sucks dude...I get wanting to be closer to work but Dallas is a much better option IMO. How old are you?

Nice, I asked my locator about Mockingbird station. He said it was out of my price range, plus a long commute since I'll be working around DNT and Legacy.

I heard Addison was up and coming...a good mix of city and burb. I'm 27.
