We (wife and I) want to stay a few nights on the gulf coast the first week of November. We are looking for a nice place that is close to restaurants, etc. preferably on the beach. Any recommendations?? Thanks

Lighthouse Condominiums in Gulf Shores.

What part of the coast?

You want a hotel or a condo? If just for two nights, I suggest a hotel.
Perdido Beach resort in Orange Beach or the cheaper Hampton Inn.
The Hilton on Pensacoula beach is pretty good too.

Gulf Shores, Destin or anywhere in between. We are visiting from West Texas and will be leaving from Mandeville. We just want to relax, eat some decent food and look at the beach.

We will probably stay three nights. We don't make it down to the coast much so I would like to stay somewhere nice. Looking for a resort type place

I personally would go VRBO over a hotel/resort.
but if you had to go Hotel Resort i would think Sandestin is what your looking for. at least that would have a little bit of everything that your looking for.
