Pinched nerve

What does a pinched nerve feel like? I’m having pain from my neck down my left arm that only hurts when I turn my head right or when I put pressure on my left arm. It’s not muscular because I cannot massage the pain away Nor reach the source of the pain through vigorous massage. Had it for several weeks- should I see a doctor or will it eventually go away?

If it doesn’t go away soon go see doc

Also, read the low back pain thread. When it’s in your neck it goes to your arm(s) if in your back goes to the leg(s). Same principle

Nah, doctors aren’t there for things like this.

There's certainly a chance that you could have a cervical disc issue, but there's plenty at play here.
The pain on the LEFT when turning RIGHT is a little concerning and would send me to the DR.
Let's assume you might have a muscular component, even though you claimed to have addressed...
Scalene tightness
Pec minor tightness
The two above involve in Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
Crazy tight traps

Agreed - plenty of questions that could help in your route of care:
a. Age/sex?
b. Any specific mechanism of injury that started the condition?
c. Any previous episodes similar?
d. Location of pain in arm (inside, outside, which fingers, etc.)
e. Classic questions of what makes it better/worse besides those mentioned and progression of condition since you've noticed it?
f. Diagnostic study results?
Not that I'm looking for these answers, just some to consider.
The most important advice is to find someone who can differentiate between the types of cervical radiculopathy that can occur. This will include more detailed medical history, active/passive/resisted ROMs, etc.
TOS could be a cause - but rare.
Muscle/soft tissue component most always a factor, and could be the cause but orthopedic testing/eval needed to rule in/out conditions.
As stated, recommended to see a physician, especially if it continues or worsens.

I had C6 ruptured disc replaced 26 years ago.
Major pain was in the left shoulder blade. My primary Dr gave me a cortisone shot in the shoulder blade that relieved the pain for about 3 days. Then my index finger started going numb. Next stop was a Neurosurgeon who did a MRI and I had a ruptured disc. 8 days later I had it replaced.
If it is pinched or ruptured, then surgery is the only option to relive the pain. If it is a bulging disc then a Chiropractor or a Physical Therapist can help and you may never need surgery.
