I received a notice that I was recorded traveling 55 in a 45. $40 fine, whatever. The catch is, I live at a separate address from where the ticket was mailed. When I received the notice it had already elapsed the bullshite time period they give you to pay the fine by before a $75 fee gets added on. So now I owe $115 on a $40 ticket because I didn't pay the bill within 3 weeks after it was issued.

So I can mail my money to some bullshite private company in Ohio to pay my "fine." I'm going to call and try and speak with someone in the morning but I'm sure that will be an absolutely worthless endeavor. Anybody have experience with something like this? All I can find is a "customer service" number to call with questions. A fine damn near 200% the price of the ticket after 3 weeks is complete bullshite IMO.

just pretend like it never happened and you never saw the notice.
It'll just go away eventually.
I haven't heard a thing for the 3 i've gotten and never paid. It's been almost 4 years now.

I would definitely seek help from third parties before contacting them.

so homie doesn't update his address? It's the city's fault you moved? Don't do the crime if you can't pay the fine

I would pay them the $40 and tell them to go suck D for quarters if they want that $75 real badly.

Same thing happened to me except I actually did change my address. I chalked it up with the city of New Orleans being inept as shite (per the usual).

It is a tax. Because you don't have enough Federal Government and State government, your local government is trying to grow and needs some money. So remember that when you hear taxes are too low.

I cannot wait until the World Government comes along. NWO!

Sounds like the OP doesn't give a damn that he got caught, he'll probably go 65 through there next time.

A fool and his money shall soon part.

The follow up documents notifying me of my "unfortunate" $75 fine threaten potential "court action against you, immobilization of your vehicle (booting), and/or reporting the debt to a collection agency."

Is this a bluff? How are they going to proceed with court action when they are claiming that I forfeited my right to contest the ticket by not mailing them $30 and a notice of dispute within 24 days? These SOB's are out of their damn minds.
