What makes people go nuts when they see someone famous in public? Would you want to be so famous to the point where you can't go out in public without people flocking around you?

I would care if people saw me in public and would yell shite at me.. They would give me a reason to yell out insults and would probably actually think it would be funny, but the whole idea of people seeing a famous person in public and running after them blows my mind.

I don't get it at all. I mean there should probably be a moment of recognition and a "huh that's pretty cool" but that's about it.

They are human beings, like any other.

Man you should have seen some of the no-name OT losers that would light up when they came to my bar and SuperSaint would do a shot with them.

How about when OH58 hid behind that sign on the LSU campus and filmed you rolling around. He was like a little school girl.

The fact that I've seen Trump Himself in person inoculates me against such idiocy

Me and the wife were in the elevator in Canal Place a few years ago and right before the door closed Drew Brees hopped in. All I said was Hi. End of story. And that dude is way under 6'

Have a relative that whenever I tell him I saw Carl Malone, or one of the Duck Commanders always excitedly asks me if I got their autographs.......

I say, of course not. This really flabbergasts him..

I have waited tables at a private club out here back in the day. I waited on Nancy Kerrigan, Mark Brunnel, and some famous Russian Female Figure skater along with several Other NFL PLAYERS. No big deal. Only thing that sucked was I couldn't ask for autographs because it was against work policies.

He seemed like he was about 5'9" to me. I'm about 6'3" and he was a lot shorter than me.

Most famous person I've seen in the wild is Dean Stockwell. I like to think I handled it well but I kind of blacked out for a minute.

Yeah, I stood right beside Brees at a Saints practice, and Brees with cleats on was about my height. I measured 5'10 at my last physical. He's not big, but he is damn good.

If I was really famous I would probably have a reputation for being an a-hole or stuck up. I'm not, but I am private and would probably react as pretty withdrawn if a bunch of people came up to me all the time. People have a lot of unreasonable expectations of "celebrities."

David Gilmour's guitar playing has substantially affected my life as have Roger Waters' lyrics.

They are pretty different than most other humans. But they are different because they are supremely talented people who have dedicated their lives too a craft which I love, namely writing and playing music. So if I was to see them on the street I would freak out because theyre guys I've appreciate and emulated for most of my life.

Now, if you're one of those people who freak out when you see a famous person just because they're famous thats weird.

Like George Carlin said, think about how stupid th average person is. Then think that half of all people are dumber than that.

I like to have lost my shite when I saw Billy the Exterminator in the airport, but I was able to compose myself and only take 1 selfie with him.
