Earlier Tuesday, the person running Deen's Twitter account tweeted a photo featuring the culinary celebrity and her son, Bobby Deen, dressed up as the characters Ricky and Lucy Ricardo from the television show "I Love Lucy."

Prior to Tuesday's tweet, the photo was also reportedly visible in an album on Deen's Facebook page, The Independent says. The album, entitled "Best Dishes Filming, March 11, 2011," also included photos of Bobby Deen having the brown makeup applied to his face. The entire album has been deleted.

Dressing up and applying makeup to spoof someone well known is a little different than putting on blackface to try to look like a random African American.

I see no harm in what Paula Deen and her son did to try to look like Lucy and Desi.

People need to lighten up instead of over-correcting PCness.

The government should really consider taking her confederate flag privileges away.

I just have no clue how putting on some makeup to look like someone in particular is racist.

I don't think the upset idiots have any clue who they are trying to be.

Are red heads supposed to be upset because of her wig?

Hopefully you're being sarcastic because we both know the answer to this question.

She should have adopted a hispanic son so that she would be p.c. and good to go.

Everyone wants to have social media crusade. They want to fight for the "injustices" in today's USA like those revered persons from the 1960's. The problem is that despite what the media wants you to think, race relations in this country are better today than at any point in history. So much so that these bozo's have to invent "problems" and "outrages" to rally against.

And you are part of the problem for posting this. We are a "tattle tell" nation now.

Stop being offended!

It was a Lucy and Ricky skit. Not the same thing as "blackface" at all. I think that people don't even know what "blackface" was.
