You are shopping at the same speed but in opposite directions so you encounter each other numerous times. How to handle this awkwardness?

nod and smile. Are you some kind of freak of nature that scares people?

It isn't awkward to me. Sometimes you don't say anything, other times, you can look and smile and say something like "we meet again!", but I don't see how this would be considered awkward.

Lick your finger and touch their arm the second time you pass them, you won't have to worry about awkward eye contact after that.

If it's a female and this happens to me, I make sure we meat in the refrigerated section, where the different brand of sausages are displayed.

But that's just me.

I start making a different weird face and mumbling to myself about the pros and cons of different colors of crayons. They'll leave whatever aisle I'm in after that.

By the fourth or fifth pass, ask them if they would like to see the back of your utility van.

Do you not know how to get through life by yourself? You come to the OT and start topics on all kind of weird shite, like this.

Just pass them on every row, how is it awkward? Unless you're some kind of weird stalker dude. Which, I'm starting to think by all the threads you start, you're socially awkward.

But you have to reverse directions once so you're following instead of meeting head on every aisle. Let her pass, assess, then linger for a minute and follow.

Wait until yall are in the aisle together, with no one else there and say "we crossed paths multiple times today, I feel like we are best friend. Which is a good thing because I can do this" then start scratching your balls.

I'd say it's more awkward if you know them and already wrapped up your conversation in a previous aisle

you see, this is why we need a plague to reduce the population. That the OP fricking feels "awkward" when he sees a stranger a few times in a grocery store and then reaches out for help in how to handle that situation should embarrass him and his family.

Jesus Christ. I wish I had the easy, conflict free life this guy has so I wouldn't have any goddamn thing else to worry about other than this sort of crap.
