More detail-I'm on a 2 lane hwy (south walker road), going maybe 5 miles over the speed limit , starting to slow to turn left into subdivision on left with my turn signal on, truck comes up behind me doing maybe 80 in a 55,and passes on the left. Had I not anticipated it, he would have hit us broadside and killed me and four kids, and himself. As it was he almost hit a truck coming the other way. Single dumbest Darwin-testing human I have ever seen IRL.

So you were about to turn off of Walker South(turning left) a d a guy passed you? Happened to me once when I was turning into my neighborhood off N Corbin. Daughter was in the truck with me. Talk about had my blood seething.......

Had this happen to me once. Unfortunately for me I wasn't really thinking a car would be passing in the left when I'm trying to take a left. He T-boned me and my car flipped a few times. Fortunately I wasn't hurt

So he and truck were both traveling in the same direction, truck following him. He slows for a left turn and following truck passes on the left on a two lane highway and OP is at fault in the event of a collision?

It's definitely a no passing zone with a double yellow line right there where those neighborhoods are. Neighborhoods on left and right about 4/5 miles down from I-10. Hundreds of people slowing to turn across the oncoming lane every hour. The dude had to be totally wasted. You do that five times-you die at least once.

If it was a passing zone, you still would have the right of way as you are going with the flow of traffic and the passing driver was in the lane of oncoming traffic.
